Thursday, August 25, 2005 ::: a revisit to my music library 'Don't say you love me' beautiful David Foster originally thought there would be no hit from the Talk On Corners album. The album almost never made it. But all in a sudden after the release of Dreams TOC became the biggest selling album of 1997. Now with the release of Home, this will be the Corrs' 5th studio album. That would make the total album count 8. 10 years since they released Forgiven Not Forgotten. 15 years since they started the band. Back then Andrea was still in high school. They were still wearing their school uniform when they met their manager John Hughes. And I was a form 1 school kid when I first watched the What Can I Do video and I thought Andrea is the prettiest girl ever, Sharon is the coolest violin player, and oh Caroline the female drummer! How cool is that! Even Jim looks quite awesome with his guitar. Wow, David, you were wrong about Talk On Corners, but thank you so much for the vision! Can't say how thankful I am for 10 years of brilliant music from this greatest band. It's all been great, right from the start. And that's exactly why it doesn't really matter that the album cover doesn't suit my taste, or that Old Town isn't new and isn't my favorite. I'm so fortunate to get to discover them, to love their music, to resonate to their timeless pieces, to see their shows and be blown away by them again and again... it's sure nice to grow up with them and to love them, still more than ever. ::: posted by Wings at 8/25/2005 11:00:00 AM
